A key part of my teaching foundation is the Murray Spivack Method, a legendary drumming technique known for its focus on control, efficiency, and sound quality. I had the privilege of studying this method with Chad Wackerman, an internationally acclaimed drummer best known for his work with Frank Zappa, Allan Holdsworth, and James Taylor. Chad studied directly under Murray Spivack himself—Hollywood’s top sound engineer and one of the most respected drum teachers of the 20th century—ensuring that this time-honored technique has been passed down with integrity and precision. I also trained with the outstanding Rob Brian (Goldfrapp, Siouxsie Sioux) at NAM Studios.
No matter where you are in your drumming journey, I’ll guide you through essential techniques, creative exercises, and real-world applications to make you a confident and skilled drummer.
